Being a Michigander I had to ask why? I discovered that day that southerners panic shop the day before snowfalls. Even now, in Michigan, people panic shop when snow is predicted!

The day before is early for many southerners. The day of is most likely for many.
Since returning to MI, I’ve discovered folks head for the store almost as soon as snow’s in the forecast!
